If you live in Central Texas and haven't gone to the Zilker Park Trail of Lights you probably just haven't heard of it. I hope. The Man and I strolled through the lights in December 1999, a month after we began dating. It's absolutely beautiful and makes it so easy to forget the responsibilities that exist once you leave the park. Sometimes it's fun to pretend you don't have to do anything but lay in the middle of the 40 foot strings of lights shaped like a Christmas tree. That kind of thing is necessary. It keeps you from freaking out at Toys R Us, or trampling a Wal-Mart employee.
